Cable coilers without synchronous control are a less expensive alternative to devices with synchronous control, and are preferred for cables which are not sensitive to tension.
At the beginning of cable processing, a signal from the processing machine starts the rotation of the coiling device and stops it after the cable has been completely processed. An additional signal controls the feeding of the next cable in the second coiling device while the first cable is being removed from the first one.
The Metzner CPC 200 cable coiler is ideal for cables with an outer diameter of up to 12.5mm. Various pot models are available with an outer diameter of 160mm to 600mm; the core diameter can be set within the range of 140mm to 260mm.
The Metzner CPC 400 cable coiler processes flexible lines to form a cable coil having an external diameter up to 400mm. In the case of small diameters and short cable lengths, it's possible to operate with four pots.
The speed is regulated continuously via a potentiometer while the turning of the pots is triggered by a signal from the cable processing machine: After a cable has been cut, the pot turns until the end of the cable has been reached and then receives the pulse for turning. The height of the pots is selectable and can therefore be adapted to the required filling heights.
