type MF-series
The PROTEM machine type MF-Series has been specially de-signed to cut and bevel tubes from 60.3 mm OD to 406 mm OD in one operation. Possible bevel angles are 30° and 37.5°. The MF170 works with carbide in-serts, the MF420 with HSS tool bits.
The tool holder plate is equipped with two tool car-riages. The feed movement is performed automati-cally.
The MF maschines are driven electrically, are hav-ing a speed regulation and a quick operatable con-centric clamping system. A safety cover with stop-function protects the operator. These machines are performing repeatable high quality weld preparations on tubes with all type of materials (steel, stainless steel and other alloys).
