The new BLOCAN® heavy duty profiles with 18 mm of slot width in combination with the patented pressure connector provide many advantages in the field of classical machine building. The effective connection technology without any necessary processing, the high stability and the low weight of profiles increase the constructive adaptability and reduce total cost. Designers require more flexibility The designers’ requirements on flexible and light-weight systems cannot be met with the material steel any longer. Aluminium is more and more applied not only in the automobile industry Also the area of machine building benefits from the innovative aluminium profile technology. Aluminium always then reached its limits when the stability of the whole construction had to meet especially high demands. The new BLOCAN heavy duty profiles close this gap. The profile 320 x 160, with its smaller dimensions and more than 35 % weight reduction is more than equal to an IPE 360 double beam. The aluminium profiles with the dimensions of 80 x 80, 80 x 160, 80 x 240, 160 x 160, 160 x 240 and 160 x 320 mm provide a low dead weight at very high bending and torsional rigidity. With this, even big gantry systems and machine racks, which were mainly made of steel until now, can be realised as lightweight design of aluminium profiles.
