106-RPS and 206-RPS pressure relief valves open at lightning speeds to relieve the system from beyond-limit pressure. Pressure settings of the valve are easy to manipulate. These valves have 106-PG and 206-PG main valves as base.
The 81-RP pilot aids in pressure-relief to protect systems from damage from overpressure. The valve inlet is connected to the system and senses upstream pressure. The valve and pilot are at close positions initially. As soon as the inlet pressure overshoots the pilot setting, the valve opens in a fraction of a second to relieve excess pressure. Once the pressure lowers to sub-pilot setting, the valve closes smoothly. Thus, pressure is relieved.
