OverviewThe SER and SEB fixtured screwdrivers are modular, industrial screwdriving units supplied with automatic screw feeding. SER provides a screwdriver stroke with external feeding via slide or robot; SEB integrates the feed stroke. Both are designed for fully automated assembly processes with short cycle times and easy integration into automation cells.
Flexible drive conceptBoth models support pneumatic drives and electronically controlled EC motors. EC motors can be fitted with a dynamic transducer for torque and angle measurement; an optional redundant transducer is available for safety-critical (category A) applications in accordance with VDI/VDE 2862. The modular drive concept enables selection of the appropriate drive and sensor package for the application.
Flexible drive modulesQuick reconfiguration between drive modules and heads reduces downtime. Units are suitable for mounting on Cartesian axes, robots or swivel-arm feeders. Configurable bit strokes and tool holding couplers adapt the screwdriver to a wide range of fastener types and assembly geometries.
Innovative product features- Automatic feeding system for screws and pins
- Tool-free quick-release bit change
- Suitable for shank-heavy screws
- Swivel-arm feeding principle: feeding during screwdriving for short cycle times
- Depth indicator for precise monitoring of screwdriving depth
Features (standard)- Standard design with screwdriver and integrated head/feed stroke (SEB) or screwdriver stroke with external feed (SER)
- Modular design for quick reconfiguration
- Pneumatic or electric (EC) drive options
- Suitable for automatic feeding and integration with swivel-arm concept
- Integrated head stroke (SEB) can replace customer-side Z-axis
