PTFE bellows are used as flexible pipe fittings or flexible protections for pipe systems. Flexible bellows and expansion joints are commonly used to compensate elongation and other movements among pipelines. They also absorb vibrations in pipe systems. They are used to protect shafts and rods in aggressive environments. Among all bellows available, fluoropolymer-based bellows are preferred in case of high mechanical or chemical constraints. They particularly offer both high extension and compression, as well as resistance to high frequency bendings and vibrations. This is why these bellows are used primarily in chemical engineering and processes, in mechanical engineering applications as well as in the food and pharmaceutical industry. 3P offers 3 different shapes of bellows: - V-shapes are highly flexible.
