Product description
The GMD series by AERZEN is a universal, gas-tight booster solution for the low-pressure range. Equipped with a hermetic magnetic coupling, it provides a low‑maintenance sealing concept by eliminating shaft sealing lock systems. Separation between oil and process side is ensured by a special piston-ring seal. The robust two-lobe design allows design pressures up to 7.0 bar(g). Sixteen sizes cover a wide range of operating points.

Construction & materials
Housings are available in spheroidal graphite cast iron or stainless steel, with round flanges and O‑ring sealing.

Shaft sealing
Standard: hermetic magnetic coupling (low-maintenance). Optional: oil-lubricated, double-acting mechanical seal with thermosiphon cooling for high torques (≥ 600 Nm).

Flow & drive characteristics
Flow direction: vertical downward. Drive: direct coupling to motor (B35 arrangement for magnetic coupling or B3 for the alternative mechanical seal).
