Description

Presentation
The SP25 motorises nozzle travel on all three axes (X, Y and vertical). It is the model in the range that removes the need for the operator to move the head by hand, and is offered at three automation levels so you choose how often the machine needs human attention. Compact series suitable for drums, pails and IBCs placed on a pallet. Capacity range: 20 – 1,500 L. Production up to 65 drums/hour (220 L) or 15 IBC/hour (1,200 L).

Is this the machine you need?
Yes if manual positioning of the head is tiring or slows the line and you want to decide how much operator attention the machine returns. No if you only fill a few pallets (SP1 or SP2 may suffice) or if you require a fully unattended cell with uncapping/capping (SP3 or Robot Filler).

Three levels of automation
  • Joystick alignment: operator positions nozzle with joystick for each container; operator free during filling but needed per container.
  • Joystick alignment with position memory: operator teaches positions per pallet; machine fills entire pallet without further intervention; operator needed once per pallet.
  • Machine vision (accessory): locates bunghole automatically; machine becomes fully automatic and operator intervention is eliminated for filling.

Filling modes and assemblies
Two physical filling assemblies are available at order: Under-bunghole filling or Immersion filling. Both assemblies use sandblasted AISI 304 stainless steel construction and AISI 316L nozzle as standard (other materials available for aggressive products).

Immersion filling options
Normally recommended for foaming, flammable or explosive products. The nozzle descends to the bottom and the recipe selects one of three filling behaviours:
  • Rising with the product: nozzle opens at bottom and rises as container fills; control keeps nozzle at product level until fill complete.
  • From the bottom: nozzle stays at lowest position for the whole fill (for extremely foaming products).
  • Under bunghole: nozzle enters just past bunghole and fills from there (similar to under-bunghole assembly).

How it works
1. Select filling recipe and net weight on the operator panel.
2. Place pallet of empty containers in the filling station.
3. Depending on automation level: align nozzle per container, teach pallet positions once, or require no intervention with vision.
4. System tares automatically and fills to net weight.
5. Sequence repeats for each container on the pallet.
6. Full pallet removed and next pallet arrives.

Machine architecture
Self-supporting structure carries the filling head on two independent linear axes (X and Y) plus a vertical axis; all three axes are motorised. Weighing terminal is integrated into control. Weighing can be via a floor scale (stand-alone) or integrated into a conveyor line (pallets enter/leave automatically).

Inert gas filling (optional)
Available as an accessory for filling under an inert atmosphere. Gas flow is integrated into the filling cycle (solenoid valve, nozzle passage) and timing is recipe-controlled (inert before, during, after filling or combinations). Small bursts of nitrogen (or chosen gas) create a protective atmosphere in the container; inerting by overpressure is also supported for capping assemblies. Nozzle is interchangeable for later adaptation to other products or containers.

AiCROVFill® (software)
A software ecosystem designed to fill as accurately and as fast as the product allows. Key functions: misalignment control (halts and alerts if nozzle meets resistance), final weight control and top-up (settling checks and additional dosing if needed), compensation for submerged lance (volume displacement compensation during immersion filling), automatic compensation for product still flowing after valve closure (learned or fixed), and recipe-based operation (parameters saved per product and container format).

Safety and compliance
Designed and manufactured in Europe to EU machinery safety legislation; CE marking. Design follows EN ISO 12100 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849-1 for safety-related control parts, EN 60204-1 for electrical equipment, EN ISO 13850 for emergency stop. Safety features: emergency stop that cuts power and pneumatic pressure and stops motorised axes; supervised axis control that stops on misalignment or access opening; passive nozzle lock; safe behaviour on failure (no residual motion or product flow). From the position-memory level, a perimeter safety enclosure (fencing with interlocked doors and photoelectric barriers with muting) is required and quoted separately. Explosion-proof versions are engineered for the certification scheme of the installation country (ATEX, IECEx, NEC equivalents) for Zone 1/2 or Class I Division 1/2 applications.
