OverviewThe PBE is AiCROV's automatic palletizer designed for drum filling lines. It takes an empty pallet from a magazine, receives filled drums from the line, pushes them onto the pallet row by row without lifting them, and sends the loaded pallet out. Built for heavy drums and industrial environments, it eliminates operator handling of drums and keeps the line running continuously.
Why automate drum palletizingA full drum can weigh up to 300 kg. Moving drums manually or with improvised tools is slow, exposes operators to risk and can damage drums. The PBE places every drum on the pallet in a consistent pattern without lifting, improving safety and line uptime.
How it works- Empty pallet magazine: a forklift loads a stack of empty pallets; the magazine holds the stack and releases the bottom pallet onto the conveyor one at a time.
- Drum infeed: chain conveyors bring filled drums from the filler to the pre-palletizing area.
- Push palletizing: a plate is placed on the pallet and a motorised pusher pushes each row of drums onto the pallet; the plate retracts row by row until the pattern is complete (e.g. four drums per pallet in two rows of two, or two drums per pallet).
- Out: the loaded pallet leaves on the conveyor towards downstream equipment such as strapping, stretch wrapping or forklift removal.
Built for drum lines- Up to 45 pallets per hour with four drums per pallet (180 drums/hour), or up to 80 pallets per hour with two drums per pallet (160 drums/hour).
- Handles drums up to 300 kg each, on pallets up to 1,200 × 1,200 mm.
- Explosion-proof version available on request for hazardous applications.
- Stainless steel version available for corrosive environments.
- Integrates with AiCROV drum fillers (e.g. EL2-B) and with downstream end-of-line equipment such as strapping, stretch wrapping and pallet labelling.
FAQ / Additional notes- Which drums can the PBE palletize? Drums up to 300 kg each, on pallets up to 1,200 × 1,200 mm.
- How many drums per hour? Up to 45 pallets/h with four drums per pallet (180 drums/h) or up to 80 pallets/h with two drums per pallet (160 drums/h).
- How does it place the drums on the pallet? Drums are pushed onto the pallet row by row over a retracting plate so they are not lifted.
- Does it handle empty pallets? Yes, it takes them from a magazine loaded by forklift.
- Can it work in a hazardous area? Yes, an explosion-proof (ATEX) version can be supplied on request.
- Can it be added to an existing drum line? Yes. It connects to the outfeed of the drum filler.
