Alper uses Printed Electronics to produce a variety of resistive and capacitive sensors that employ silver conductive inks printed on PET substrate to ensure precision and reliability.<br><br><b>Main features</b><br>Alper is a producer of Printed Electronics specializing in flexible printed sensors. These sensors use a PET (polyethylene terephthalate) substrate, known for its strength and durability. Alper’s flexible printed sensors are applied in industries such as manufacturing and home appliances and are employed as liquid leak detectors (placed under washing machines or dishwashers), capable of detecting the presence of water from the very first drop with extreme sensitivity.<br><br><b>Applications and IoT integration</b><br>Resistive sensors measure changes in electrical resistance and are often used to detect pressure or force. Capacitive sensors measure changes in electrical capacitance and are commonly employed for presence detection and fill-level monitoring. Alper’s printed sensors enable integration with IoT systems: for example, capacitive sensors can be used in smart trash bins to collect and transmit real-time data to operational centres for efficient waste management and optimized collection routes.<br><br><b>Production and customization</b><br>Production via screen printing techniques allows Alper to create devices with complex geometries on flexible substrates. Alper provides customer-specific designs and wiring according to customer specifications and can apply a wide range of double-sided adhesives chosen for each use case.
