Description

Overview
ZipLink® modular conveyor belts combine a structured spiral-link mesh carcass with selectable top-cover materials to form endless belts splicable at any length without special tools. The design improves maintenance flexibility and reduces downtime on industrial conveyors.

Key features and benefits
  • Spiral-link mesh enabling tool-free splicing at any position
  • Repairs or partial replacements of small sections to minimise belt downtime
  • No loss of splice strength compared with seamed or fused belts
  • Wide range of cover materials for application-specific performance

ZipLink® belt construction (general)
  • Carcass: low-elongation polyester monofilament spiral-link mesh
  • Top covers: interchangeable rubber, thermoplastic or fabric covers bonded to the mesh
  • Variants: modular constructions tailored for temperature, chemical exposure, grip and release requirements

Materials and typical properties
  • Natural rubber — thermoset rubber; excellent abrasion resistance and wet/dry grip; FDA-compliant options; temperature range: -40 °C to 121 °C; typical applications: paper & board, wood, inclined conveyors, tobacco, agriculture
  • Carboxylated nitrile — thermoset with high abrasion and oil/fat resistance; temperature range: -18 °C to 121 °C; typical applications: paper & board, wood, sugar, detergents, metal industry
  • Nitrile — thermoset with excellent oil/fat resistance, wear and impact resistance; FDA/USDA options; temperature range: -18 °C to 121 °C; typical applications: food processing, chemical, textile roll covers, board production
  • SBR — thermoset offering good abrasion resistance and grip; economical; temperature range: -40 °C to 121 °C; typical applications: general package handling, airports, bricks and tiles, chemical, carton
  • Silam (silicone) — thermoset with strong release properties and chemical resistance; FDA/USDA options; continuous: -54 °C to 176 °C, intermittent up to 260 °C (depending on carcass)
  • Teflon (PTFE) — thermoplastic with excellent release and chemical resistance; limited abrasion resistance; temperature range: -50 °C to 82 °C; typical applications: extrusion, food, chemical, fiberglass
  • Cotton / Felt — fabric top covers suitable up to ~120 °C; typical applications: tyre industry, cardboard, metal stamping, automotive, aluminium extrusion
  • Fabric covers — low friction top covers for high-speed running and merge/infeed applications
