OverviewThe Apollo Dual Lane Spiral Conveyor transports materials and products up or down in a continuous flow using two independently driven tracks within a single structure, providing double the capacity of a single-track spiral while minimizing floor space usage.
How it worksThis vertical conveyor consists of two separately driven chain-slat tracks that revolve around a central structure. It handles a wide range of product types and sizes and reduces footprint by using vertical space.
- The two tracks can be configured to run synchronized at the same speed.
- The two tracks can be synchronized at different speeds.
- The two tracks can run in opposite directions with the same or different speeds.
Dual Lane Spiral Conveyor features- Loads up to 50 kg per meter
- Speed: 60 m/minute
- Two independently driven tracks (double capacity)
- Designed for continuous 24/7 operation
- Small footprint for high throughput in limited floor space
- Low friction operation (no lubrication under slats needed)
- Built-in protection and low noise level
- Low maintenance
Design & mechanicsThe conveyors use a guiding rail system for the chain-slat, including precision low-friction bearings: the slats run in a rolling-friction track that requires no edge wear strips. The modular design is customizable to meet specific requirements and uses the same modular platform as other spiral models to enable user-specified options with limited additional cost.
Configurations & slat widths- Slat width options (dual-lane standard set): 300 mm, 400 mm, 500 mm
- Available configurations: Standard | Stainless steel (dry use) | Stainless steel (wash down)
Applications (product types & industries)Suitable for packed goods such as boxes, cartons (e.g., beverage cartons), crates and multipacks. Typical industries include food & beverage, pet food & personal care, e-commerce, warehousing and postal operations.
Types and modelsThe Dual Lane Spiral Conveyor is offered in four standard models that can be customized and modified in the field. All units include infeed and outfeed sections that can be angled or extended; units can transport products up or down and can be reversible. Lanes can be set to different speeds or directions and designed with different widths and infeed/outfeed heights. Options include belt/coating types, side guards and base frames finished in a specified RAL colour or stainless steel for wet environments.
