PresentationThe SOLIBA M is an economical membrane level switch by ATMI for detecting high, low or intermediate levels in silos, hoppers and other storage containers. It is suitable for powders and free-flowing granules and can also indicate feed conditions or blockages in conveyors and screw feeders.
Applications and materialsRecommended for low-viscosity bulk materials such as dust, flour, cereals, sand and plastic granules. Designed for installation on vertical silo walls and adaptable to common storage and conveying configurations.
OperationThe sensing is based on pressure applied by the bulk material against a membrane. When material presses the membrane, the membrane deflects and changes the state of an internal switch, sending an electrical signal to stop filling or trigger an automation. Sensitivity can be adjusted using the spring-and-nut regulation system on related models to suit material characteristics.
