The 20 Tonne Adjustable Single-Ram Pit Jack with Security Struts is a UK-made, fully adjustable single-ram hydraulic pit jack designed for commercial vehicle lifting. It incorporates a manual Security Strut Safety Mechanism where pins are fitted into the struts to prevent accidental lowering.

Adjustment range by frame size

• Small — Pit Min: 750 mm; Pit Max: 1030 mm.
• Medium — Pit Min: 860 mm; Pit Max: 1160 mm.
• Large — Pit Min: 1110 mm; Pit Max: 1410 mm.

Technical specifications

• Beam: Covers pit widths from 750 mm to 1400 mm (select frame size for suitability).
• Wheels: Four wheels with needle roller bearings for ease of movement; parallel wheels standard for flat pit edges (tapered wheels available for RSJ rails). Spring-loaded retracting wheels available on request to lock position under load.
• Power pack: High-output hand/air pump providing required flow to cylinders.
• Rams / Cylinder: Double-acting hydraulic cylinder with chrome-plated rods and advanced seals; fitted with hose burst valve and 90° isolation valve for visual position confirmation.
• Safety: Safety lowering valves, anti-burst valves, ram lock-off handles and Security Strut Safety Mechanism to prevent unintended lowering.
• Standards & testing: Designed and manufactured to Machinery Directive 98/37/EC and BS EN 1494:2001; complies with EC requirements and LOLER lifting regulations. Each unit is serial numbered, fully tested and supplied with a test certificate.
