A battery cell test system is a testbed that includes at least one temperature chamber, a cell cycler in the appropriate current and voltage range, and an software automation system, for running entire laboratories with several thousand cell test channels. Special equipment such as Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) can be integrated and operated within our AVL Battery Cell TS™.

Our systems are pre-commissioned to significantly reduce on-site setup time, accelerating deployment and helping you to speed up your time-to-market.



Climate Chamber
We offer different chambers with and without humidity. The typical temperature range is between -40 and +90 °C.

Cell Cycler
The AVL CELL TESTER™ Performance Line cyclers covers current ranges from 300A and
600A (12 channels) up to 2,400A with parallelized power channels

• Provides space for up to 12 battery cell channels

Testbed Automation & Software
• AVL’s automation software enables complete DVP testing as well as specific test routines
• Simple to use web interface with line-based programming

Transportation Frame
• Complete system setup on transportation frame
