Thanks to the patent-pending clamping process and the design of the TEX shrink chuck, previously unrivalled clamping forces and significantly improved damping properties achieved. The multi-layer structure of the TEX shrink chuck with an additional inner clamping sleeve leads to extreme clamping forces by utilising the longitudinal and radial expansion and the multi-layer system also improves the damping properties. The multi-layer system also improves the damping properties enormously. In addition, all joining gaps between the chuck and tool are equalised in the heated state, so that any tool tolerances no longer affect the resulting clamping forces. can no longer influence the resulting clamping forces. The ThermoGrip® EXTREME has a concentricity of less than 5 µm with a projection of 2.5xD and is therefore ideal for precision machining.
