OverviewThe MicroMedia Invicta is a bead mill for wet grinding that pairs a redesigned processing unit with a new bead separation system. It improves energy efficiency, increases throughput and raises flow rates while fitting the same compact factory footprint.
Key benefits- Up to +50% productivity — redesigned processing unit combined with improved bead separation increases throughput per pass or unit time.
- Approximately −25% energy consumption — optimised processing geometry reduces energy demand for equivalent particle-size results.
- ~+100% flow rate capability — the remodelled bead separation and screen design reduce blockages and pressure build-up, enabling faster recirculation and higher average flow.
Product features- New processing unit design — optimised internal geometry delivers target particle sizes with lower energy input while keeping the same footprint.
- New bead separation system — redesigned separation path and screen reduce blockages, speed recirculation and improve process reliability and safety.
- Digital control & IoT capability — integrated digital control supports manual to fully automated plant integration; compatible with Bühler Insights for process digitalization.
- Retrofit option — designed within the MicroMedia/MicroMedia+ framework to enable upgrades without full system replacement.
- Application-proven design — validated across inks, coatings, electronic materials and battery slurries.
Applications- Printing inks and liquid packaging inks
- Inkjet and digital inks
- Paints, coatings and automotive coatings
- Electronic materials and conductive pastes
- Battery electrode slurry production
- General wet grinding and dispersing
Additional product notesMicroMedia Invicta 4 is offered with an active grinding chamber volume of 40 L (20 L more than Invicta 3), suited to efficient processing of larger batches. Coupling Invicta with a MacroMedia pre-grinding unit can further increase energy and CO2 savings in selected processes (example: up to ~270 kWh or ~200 kg CO2e saved per tonne of ink in reference cases).
