Description

The breaker protection transformer (TPC) by Cahors is a conventional “pole-top” transformer that includes a devices similar to a combined fuse switch (three MV fuses with a striker, combined with a three-phase disconnect switch). Ground fault detection is also included, sensitive to currents from 5A and acting as necessary on the disconnect switch. This device has been the subject of several European filings. Other key points: • Sealed vacuum filling tank • PCB-free liquid dielectric • Available in a vegetable oil version (natural ester) • ONAN cooling mode • Copper and aluminium coils, depending on the power • Crystal-oriented iron-silicon sheet magnetic circuit • Protection-disconnection feature for improving the safety and quality of the supply • Removal of all external manifestations of the device in case of an internal fault, ensuring the safety of goods, individuals, and the environment • Avifauna protection • No maintenance under normal service conditions • High thermal inertia to withstand load cycles with power variations. • Proven electronics • Takes into account all types of MV and LV faults • Standard losses, reduced or compliant with the specifications requested by the customer
