Overview
The SC3x series is the latest generation of CAPTRON safeCAP two-hand controls, successor to the SC4 series. Designed for machines with a high risk of injury (punching machines, presses and similar), it delivers force-free actuation, long service life and standards-compliant safety integration.

Key benefits

• Force-free actuation via capacitive sensor technology — no pressure required, reducing wrist strain; operable with work gloves.
• Highly durable and sealed: fully encapsulated buttons (IP68) protected against water, oil, dust and impacts; wear-free sensor principle for several hundred million cycles; very low maintenance.
• Certified for safety applications (Type III C) and compatible with standard safety PLCs, relays and signal conditioning units.

• SC30 (Single Channel): Ø 50 mm sensing face, installs via standard Ø 22.5 mm hole; can be combined with signal conditioning units for two-hand control applications. Typical use: punching, pressing.
• SC30 (Dual Channel): Ø 50 mm switching surface, installs via Ø 22.5 mm hole; compatible with MCR225 and PILZ PNOZ series; TÜV SÜD certified for EN ISO 13849-1 and EN ISO 13851. Typical use: presses, punching machines.
• SC31 (Dual Channel): Ø 50 mm sensing face, flat profile (7 mm); compatible with MCR225 and PILZ PNOZ s6; TÜV SÜD tested. Typical use: punching, pressing and similar.
