OverviewThe automatic CERGIL External Threading Heads are engineered for high-efficiency production of external threads and for peeling operations. Manufactured from hardened and ground steel, they provide precision and repeatability in industrial turning environments.
Tools supported- Threading tangential chasers – form ISO, Whitworth, UNC, NPT and other standard thread profiles; suitable for metals and plastics.
- HSS blades and carbide inserts – enable high-speed peeling and turning to prepare parts for thread rolling.
Strengths- Automatic opening – rapid release of the produced thread for continuous production.
- Cost efficiency – low production costs due to re-sharpenable tools.
- High production speed – single-operation thread production, including coarse pitches (example: 6 mm pitch).
- Versatility – wide range of chaser-holders for different diameter and pitch combinations.
- High mounting rigidity – supports use of carbide tools for CNC peeling operations.
- Quick assembly – fast tool installation and thread diameter adjustment.
Applications and capabilities- Production of external threads across a wide diameter and pitch range.
- Compatible with CNC lathes and semi-automatic or automatic turning equipment.
- Suitable for a wide variety of materials, including all common metals and plastics.
