Control unit SmartBay

The SmartBay, Bay Control Unit (BCU), is a highly versatile panel-mounted unit providing a wider range of control and automation capabilities at the individual bay or circuit level. Offering a large colour operator display (with touch screen option) the BCU has a powerful user interface that can present single line diagrams, status, alarms and measurements at both a single bay or multiple bay level and is a key element within the flexible Substation Automation System offered by CG Automation Systems. Redundant ethernet LAN communications are based on the IEC 61850 standard supporting full client and server functionality including GOOSE messaging with buffered and unbuffered reporting and logging. Modular input / output cards offer scalable solutions for various bay configurations. Internal IEC61131 logic engine provides user definable logic for bay level applications including soft interlocks for plant operation. SmartBay also supports a range of protocols for interfacing with other IEDs at bay level.
