Description
1.What is Two Stage Extruder?
First stage is a parallel twin screw compounder, second stage is a low speed single screw extruder. Twin screw and single scerw connected with each other vertically. That is tandem extruder
The material goes into the twin screw for shearing, melting,mixing & dispersion, then the melt falls into the single screw. The melt temperature will go down fast due to the low rotation speed and water cooling for the screw and barrel, with stable pressure building ability of single screw extruder, the material can be extruded out stably
