Overview
Diefenbach SB Series side beam filter presses are industrial liquid‑solid separation machines designed for filtration and dewatering in a variety of process sectors. The design features two longitudinal side beams that support a pack of recessed or membrane plates covered by filter cloths, allowing controlled cake formation and discharge.

How SB Series Side Beam Filter Presses Work
A hydraulic cylinder drives a moving head to compress the plate pack between the two side beams, forming filtration chambers. Feed slurry is pumped into the chambers; filtrate passes through the cloth and exits via filtrate piping while solids accumulate as a cake on the cloth. At cycle end the plates open and discharge largely drip‑free cakes; plates are then shaken or washed to remove residual material before the next cycle.
