DescriptionThe drain inlet filter is positioned beneath drain grates as a preventive measure. It filters up to 5 litres of oils or hydrocarbons and is designed for stormwater inlets in parking areas and similar sites to retain polluting liquids before they enter the drainage network.
Composition and general characteristics- Material: polypropylene non-woven geotextile
- Version: FILTRE BE with absorbent straps (BE5)
- Oil and hydrocarbon absorption: 5 L
- Dimensions: 1220 x 915 x 457 mm
- Sediment retention: 18 kg
- Compatible with: oils, hydrocarbons, suspended solids, sediments, sand
Usage detailsThe conical (sock) shape filters runoff and retains oils, hydrocarbons and sediments carried by rainwater. The cone form mechanically contains sediments and suspended matter. A skirt secures the filter between the drain inlet and the pavement to ensure stable positioning.
Key benefits- Permeable material allows water passage while absorbing hydrocarbons and confining debris
- Version with absorbent straps increases absorption capacity
- Easy to install
- Fine mesh for effective particulate filtration
Applications- Industrial sites: recovery of oils and pollutants from surface runoff
- Construction sites: filtration of mud-laden water to prevent pipe blockage
- Parking areas: absorption and filtration of vehicle oils and hydrocarbons from rain, cleaning or leaks
Variants- Filter BE3.5: version without absorbent straps, 3.5 L capacity
- Filter BE28: version for containment up to 28 L of waste
