Eastern Instruments' DSV - Duct Section VAP retains all of the air flow measurement features and capabilities of the VAP Pitot, while offering the additional feature of being exceedingly easy to order and install. The DSV is either a round or rectangular flanged section of duct that contains an array of VAP Pitots along with straightening vanes that help channel air flow through the flow measurement section of the DSV. Below, you will find an overview of the DSV specifically designed for installation in square or rectangular ducts. The DSV Duct Section for Square or Rectangular ducts allows easy installation of VAP Pitots within new or existing duct work. The VAP Pitots are mounted within a flanged duct section and the pitots are tubed together for easy installation and setup. The DSV for Square or Rectangular ducts are designed for use within both Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel duct work and are perfect for both clean air or for particulate-laden air. The Stainless Steel DSV is manufactured out of 304 Stainless Steel that offers superior corrosion resistance. The DSV is a flanged spool section that can have bolt patterns that are custom designed for your specific installation. Featuring bolt on installation, the Stainless Steel DSV is very simple to install. It can be used in air streams that are clean as well as particulate-laden and the integral pitots can either be manufactured out of aluminum or stainless steel. The DSV will require 1 foot of duct run for installation as the length of any sized DSV is 12" in length. The Carbon Steel DSV is manufacted out of a powder coated Carbon Steel that resists both wear and corrosion.
