Product overviewThe EC Sense ES1-HCN-50 hydrogen cyanide (HCN) gas sensor is a compact solid polymer electrochemical sensor designed for reliable detection of HCN in industrial safety and monitoring applications. The sensor offers long operational lifetime, low maintenance and requires no power consumption at the sensing element. Integration is simplified when used with the EC Sense Smart Digital Board, reducing calibration labour.
TechnologyThe sensor employs solid polymer electrochemical technology based on electrochemical catalytic reactions. Target gas diffuses through a porous membrane to the working electrode where oxidation or reduction generates a small electric current proportional to concentration. The solid-core design replaces liquid/gel electrolytes and uses three electrodes in contact with the electrolyte to provide stable, linear output.
