Ice and snow detector ISD-1

The ice and snow detector protects guttering and roof surfaces against winter damage caused by heavy snow loads and ice formation. Formation of ice is not possible because water can drain off. The use of an ISD-1 controller is recommended for economic reasons. An energy-saving method of operation is possible as a result of detecting both moisture and temperature, the heating is only switched if the ambient temperature is slightly above the frost limit and moist air is present. The micro-processor controlled ISD-1 features an illuminated LCD-display to set and view its values for temperature, moisture and expired heating period.
