Flammability tester CAP-0804

for XY capacitors

CAP-0804 is used to test the active flammability properties of both X and Y capacitor types up 1 uF. Extended with the EXT-CAP0804, capacitors up to 50 µF can be tested. An integrated supply is used to power the test capacitors with up to 800 Vac. CAP0804 is a combined impulse generator and controllable AC power source. It generates a voltage impulse superimposed onto AC up to 800V for the testing of X1, X2, Y2 and Y4 type capacitors. CAP-0804 can be used with the MIG-EUT-SET for automated testing of 8 capacitors. Used together with the TC-ST-F special flameproof housing, protection for the operator is increased and also for the generator itself. Impulse amplitudes are programmable up to 8kV which covers all the requirements from IEC 60384-14. Capacitors up to 1μF can be tested with the CAP-0804 basic unit and up to 50μF when the CAP-0804 is added. A colour touch panel with graphic help, guides the operator through the test setup procedure for fast and efficient operation.
