All QLD models consist of rectangular tanks with a hopper on the bottom for collecting and thickening the sludge. QLD tanks are equipped with lamellar modules for sedimentation and clarified collection channels to allow the clarified water, free from suspended solids, to be collected.
The new QLD series is divided into 5 sections:
Inlet area
Sludge accumulation and thickening area
Separation area with MODULpack
Adjustable channels for collecting clarified water
Sludge discharge
The inlet area consists of a wide perforated channel in the center of the tank, designed to minimize turbulence. The wastewater then flows down the channel and up through the lamellar modules.
Thanks to the special V-shape of our channels and their 60° inclination, solid particles collect on the lamellas, finally settling at the bottom of the tank.
Once the water reaches the surface of the lamellar settlers, it will be free of solids and will be collected by the channels, which will convey it to the next treatment phase.
ADVANTAGES OF ENDEVION QLD
The big advantage of the new QLD series consists in being able to connect up to 3 tanks in series in order to manage even greater flow rates, thanks to the perforated inlet channel, specially designed to distribute the wastewater even over multiple tanks.
Better sedimentation efficiency with ENDEVION lamellas compared to conventional parallel plate packs
Volume and projected surface perfectly adapted to the type of wastewater to be treated
Low installation costs
Sludge removal by simple hydrostatic pressure – no energy dispersion
It does not require oversized transport
