Description

A real all-rounder: The SCHULE de-awner cleans grains with husks, loosens the husk, breaks up double grains and improves the flow properties. The grains with husks are fed into the working chamber by a feed screw and are processed by a special rotor which is enclosed by a screen jacket. The intensity of this frictional treatment can be changed at any time by adjusting the counterweight or the springs at the outlet. Barley awns and impurities adhering to the surface leave the machine through an aspirated separate outlet. Due to its mode of operation, the de-awner has also several positive effects on the oat grain: it cleans the grain surface, loosens the husk, breaks up double grains, improves the flow properties and increases the husking degree. Two different sizes of the machine cover a wide capacity range. Due to a large maintenance opening, the screen basket and the rotor are easily accessible. It is recommended to use an aspiration channel downstream of the de-awner to remove the parts of the husk that have already been detached.
