OverviewMulticonnection plates allow the connection of multiple hydraulic (cooling, power) and electrical (power and/or signal) lines typical of industrial and off-highway applications. They are designed to compensate linear and angular misalignments between the two plates and are suitable where connection and disconnection occur by means of automatic drives (pneumatic, hydraulic or electric).
Technical informationEach product results from combinations of variables such as number of lines, coupling sizes and types of electrical connectors. A multiconnection system comprises a powered plate and a supply plate. Either plate can be designed as fixed or floating according to system specifications. When connected, plates are subject to mutual repulsion forces: knowing the pressure thrust allows balancing forces to ensure correct connection of lines during operation. Custom design adapts plates to available installation space.
Plates materialsCommon materials are steel and aluminum. Surface treatments such as nickel plating are standard. Material selection depends on mechanical and environmental stresses and on the need to balance repulsion forces produced by different fluids.
Alignment systemsDesigns can include clearance and misalignment compensation systems enabling the plates to absorb wear and postponing maintenance.
Types of fluidsA wide range of fluids can be handled, from standard hydraulic fluids to application-specific technical fluids, in liquid or gaseous state. Provide fluid specifications to enable proper product design.
Electrical connectorsElectrical connectors are available as long-life multi-pole components for long-cycle requirements. Special power connectors outside the standard range can be designed on request. Connectors can be delivered wired, pre-wired or without harness for onsite connection. Grommet is always included; wire-harness support remains the customer's responsibility.
