Overview
FORMAT4 findustry 1352 | 1353 | 1354 are modular wide belt sanding machines designed for industrial production. The machines can be configured with two, three or four processing units to match specific material types and surface-finish requirements. Modular design enables tailored combinations for optimum throughput and surface quality.

Operating comfort & control
18" smartouch touchscreen with swivel arm provides an intuitive operator interface. Infeed height is adjustable to 0.1 mm accuracy. Fixed infeed table height of 900 mm, vacuum table option, roller table extensions and optional pressure shoes improve handling of panels of different sizes and thicknesses. Wireless thickness options simplify setup for varying workpiece thicknesses.

Control & Programs
18" smartouch control with 100 program memory spaces. Functions include unit control, feed speed adjustment, sanding height setting in 0.1 mm steps, sanding pad parameter adjustment, maintenance interval management and plain-text error messages.

Optional measuring & automation
Wireless Thickness Measurement (TDP) or Thickness Detection Professional options measure the workpiece directly at the machine and transfer thickness data automatically. Automatic adjustment of passage height deducts the desired chip removal for precise results.

Units & processing options
Available units include cross-section unit, contact-roller aggregate, combination sanding unit, Superfinish unit, EP/ESC sanding pad units, planer cutterhead unit, LACQUER-planet sanding unit, brushing equipment and varnish packages. Electro-pneumatic sanding pads and silicon-Tec segmented sanding shoes are available for improved results and lower air consumption.

Feeding & tables
Fixed infeed table height 900 mm. Feed speed continuously adjustable from control panel (standard 2.8–20 m/min). Vacuum table option for small, thin or smooth workpieces. Roller table extensions available for inlet and outlet.

Superfinish / Cross-belt
The Superfinish unit uses a felt-glide chevron belt for softer pressure on lacquered surfaces; electro-pneumatic belt oscillation ensures centring and smooth running. Cross-belt aggregate is suited for lacquered and high-gloss production to reduce raised fibres and improve surface smoothness.
