Description

Overview
Standard Fabrication provides tailored fabrication services for conveyor and processing belts. Our global fabrication centres modify mechanical and physical belt properties to meet application-specific requirements for conveying, processing, hygiene and service life.

Fabrication of conveyor belts
We perform mechanical and physical adaptations so belts are ready for installation in production lines. Services cover configuration for inclined conveying, handling bulk materials and small items, and modifications for specialised processing tasks.

Profiles and side walls
Conveyor belts can be fitted with profiles and side walls to enable inclined conveying of bulk materials and small items. Options include food-grade profiles suitable for small conveyors; shapes and sizes are adapted to reduce material loss and improve conveying efficiency.

Smartseal belt edge sealing
Smartseal edge sealing prevents oil, grease, water and bacteria from penetrating the belt edge, improving hygiene and extending belt lifetime. The Smartseal technology is compatible with most Siegling Transilon conveyor belts and is particularly suited to food-industry applications.

Perforations
Perforations provide airflow and drainage to support drying, cooling and washing processes and enable suction-based product handling. Perforation sizes and patterns are customised to match specific process needs.

Free-form cutting
Advanced cutting equipment produces belts to exact specifications: straight cuts, curves, unusual radii and complex contours. Capabilities include creating precise gaps between flights, milling, perforations and contouring to ensure optimal fit and production efficiency.

Laser marking
Positioning and control marks, logos, graphics and technical information can be laser-marked into the belt surface. Laser marking works on most fabrics, coatings and colours and can be applied to belts in open or endless condition provided the marking area does not extend beyond the splice area. The result is durable, high-precision identification and control marking.

Technical characteristics
  • Global fabrication centres capable of mechanical and physical modifications to conveyor and processing belts
  • Profiles and side walls in multiple shapes and sizes; food-grade options available; suitable for inclined conveying and small conveyors
  • Smartseal edge sealing: prevents ingress of oil, grease, water and bacteria; improves hygiene and belt lifetime; applicable to Siegling Transilon belts
  • Perforations: custom sizes and patterns for airflow, drainage, drying, cooling, washing and suction handling
  • Free-form cutting: precise cuts, curves, complex shapes, custom gaps between flights, milling and contours
  • Laser marking: durable, high-precision marking of logos, marks and technical data on most belt materials; applicable in open or endless state if marking stays within spliceable area
