OverviewThe T8997 combines leak testing and flow testing in a single instrument. It is equipped with the ForTest MMI video controller featuring a capacitive tempered-glass panel and a 6.2” colour display. Parameter programming is accelerated by an integrated numerical keyboard and large display; the main screen provides shortcuts such as test program change, smart test archive and password locking/unlocking.
User interface & display- 6.2” colour display
- Test graphic
- Full area touch screen
- Extended programming keyboard
ConnectivityIncludes ports for USB (master and slave), RS232, RS485, CAN, TTY, Profinet, EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT. An optional Ethernet port and a 26-pole auxiliary connector with 4 inputs and 8 programmable outputs can be assembled. A front master USB port permits saving tests, backup/restore parameters and firmware upgrades. Connections to thermal printers, barcode/data-matrix readers and markers are supported via internal menus.
Measurement technologiesThe instrument integrates two measurement technologies: absolute pressure drop (for micro losses) and mass measurement (for flow tests). The two measurements operate individually (not simultaneously) and automatic sequences can be programmed directly from the panel. The T8997 is suitable for tests in the gas sector (gas ramps, injectors) and medical applications (bags, filters, etc.).
Metrology and performanceThe device features advanced measurement architecture including centring technology in windows and a double Faraday optical-isolated cage, achieving settling times under 18 ms. This provides a real measurement resolution of 0.1 Pa at 1 bar (0.5 Pa at 6 bar), stable and noise-free. Built-in processor and coprocessor further accelerate test cycles.
Pneumatic sectionLatest-generation solenoid valves increase filling speed by about 30% compared to previous models. The pneumatic design is optimized for reliability and low maintenance; it exhibits high strength against humidity and requires no periodic pneumatic maintenance under normal conditions.
DesignThe front panel is a single sheet of tempered glass and aluminium for easy cleaning, making the T8997 suitable for laboratory and production-line environments. The graphic interface is user-friendly and focuses on displaying only the most important information.
