Description

Overview
The T8720 is a micro‑flow leak tester that measures and displays leaks directly in volumetric mode (cc/h or cc/min) using a solid‑state flow sensor combined with a pressure sensor. No part volume configuration is required, making the instrument versatile for variable part volumes and intuitive for analyzing test cycle progress.

Key features
  • Direct volumetric leak measurement via solid‑state flow sensor and pressure sensor.
  • Resolution from 0.1 cc/h (lower end) and full scales up to 1000 cc/min depending on model.
  • Hybrid operation between classic pressure‑decay and flow testing for a wide measurement range.
  • Continuous test air injection and fast part filling with high‑capacity pneumatic valves.
  • User interface with tempered glass front panel for easy cleaning and production use.

Connectivity
  • Front panel USB host port for saving tests, backup/restore and firmware upgrades.
  • Slave USB, RS232 (2), RS485, CAN, TTY standard; Ethernet optional.
  • Optional 26‑pole auxiliary connector with 4 programmable inputs and 8 programmable outputs.
  • Support for thermal printers, barcode/data‑matrix readers and markers via internal menu.

Operation mode
The T8720 operates with continuous injection of test air and directly measures leak flow. Measurement resolution starts at 0.1 cc/h and varies across variants; flow ranges and maximum measurable flow depend on the selected full scale (examples: 0–200, 0–500, 0–1000 cc/min). Maximum working pressure for flow measurement is typically 1 bar depending on configuration.

Pneumatic section
  • High‑capacity, heat‑resistant pneumatic valves designed to avoid overheating during long activation times.
  • Rapid filling of parts under test, suitable for components with significant internal volumes.
  • Minimal periodic maintenance for pneumatic components.

Design and usability
  • Single‑sheet tempered glass and aluminium front for quick cleaning.
  • Graphical interface and menus focused on essential information for production and laboratory environments.
  • Configurable programs and password protection for user management.
