Description

Product overview
A geothermal pre-conditioning unit designed to heat intake air in winter and cool it in summer. Provides frost protection for HRV/ERV heat exchangers and includes an integrated G4 filter.

Installation and versions
The unit requires a customer-supplied external circulation pump, safety group and connection to the building control system. Available in R (right) and L (left) airflow versions; filter position must be adapted accordingly.

Expanded capabilities — low-temperature water reheating
Can be connected to a building low-temperature heating system (e.g., heat pump, underfloor heating) to post-heat supply air via a duct water coil. Effective with supply water temperatures around 25–40°C, reducing the need for electric reheating and lowering operating costs.

Geothermal frost protection
The brine loop in the ground collector stabilizes soil temperature and prevents the ventilation unit's primary heat exchanger from freezing in winter without electric defrosting. In cold climates use glycol or an intermediate plate heat exchanger when circulating unmixed potable water.

Heat pump integration (no ground loop required)
GHT modules can receive unmixed water directly from a central air-to-water or geothermal heat pump buffer tank (example buffer conditions: ~10°C / 50°F summer, ~52°C / 125°F winter). Suitable for hybrid stage control where radiant floor is first stage and GHT unit is second stage and primary summer cooling, controlled by standard thermostats.

Hydronics and control
Designed for single-zone circulation; standard flow setters at the unit ensure precise hydronic flow. Use a single-zone circulator and appropriate control logic for hybrid staging.
