Product IntroductionThis instrument is developed, designed and manufactured on the electrolytic test principle in accordance with GB/T 21529, ISO 15106-3 and related standards. It measures the water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of samples under controlled temperature and humidity conditions. Applicable to WVTR testing of high-barrier materials used in LCD displays, solar cells, chip packaging, pharmaceuticals, food and related industries.
Test PrincipleThe W201 2.0 adopts the electrolytic method. The prepared sample is fixed between two chambers forming a high-humidity side and a low-humidity side. Humidified nitrogen flows on the wet side and dry nitrogen (carrier gas) on the dry side at a set flow. Water vapor diffuses through the sample due to the humidity gradient and is carried by the dry nitrogen to an electrolytic sensor. The sensor electrical output is used to calculate WVTR and related parameters.
Executive StandardsChinese Pharmacopoeia 2025 Edition (4010 Determination Method of Water Vapor Transmission Rate of Pharmaceutical Packaging Materials), GB/T 21529-2008, ISO 15106-3, DIN 53122-2, YBB00092003-2015, ASTM F3299, JIS K7129-3
