Infineon SBCs new generation group features the Driver SBC which is an exposed pad VQFN-48 (7mm x 7mm) power package. In order to meet the different requirements set by the applications, the group offers several choices. This device was purposed for as a main supply for the micro controller and as an interface for a CAN and LIN bus network (optional CAN partial networking) for various CAN-LIN automotive body applications. The driver SBC provides main functions in order to support these applications such as fully protected Low- and High-Side Switches, a 5V low-dropout voltage regulator with short circuit protection against supply voltage VS for e.g. sensor supply, 5V low dropout voltage regulator (LDO) for micro controller supply, a 16-bit Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) to control and monitor the device, and HS-CAN transceiver and LIN transceiver for data transmission.
