Description

Like a traditional dropping funnel, the innovative GraviDos® dosing system is simply driven by gravity and does consequently not require any pumps. Thus, the problems are eliminated which always occur in the case of pumps, such as media incompatibility, suction problems, bubbles, etc. The integrated weighing system takes up so little space that several dose loops can be comfortably integrated into one compact laboratory plant. In addition, this results in a considerable cost saving, as no costl balances and pumps are required. The price advantage particularly comes to bear when several dose loops are required. • Gravimetric Dosing • Weighing of vessel content • Weighing of reactor content • Inexpensive • Compact and robust • Does not require pumps • Easy to clean • Wide dispensing range • ass flow metering • pH value control • Titration • Refilling without interruption to dosing • Optional pulsation-free dosing • Resistant to aggressive media • Ex-compliant version available A GraviDos® dosing system consists of a glass storage vessel which is suspended from a weighing system. The weight change is recorded and the flow is regulated via a solenoid valve according to the weight signal. As such, it is a true form of mass flow control which does not have to be calibrated for different materials and which remains unaffected by the formation of bubbles. Optionally, pulsation-free dosing can be achieved by using a proportional valve. Dosing under pressure or vacuum is possible if a pressure compensating line is used.
