Description
HLC manufactured over 100 precision mold inserts, including cavities and cores, for a Japanese customer, meeting tolerances down to ±0.002 mm. Parts ranged from a few millimetres to components up to 500 mm long. Production combined high-precision CNC machining, EDM (electrical discharge machining), wire EDM and surface grinding. Comprehensive inspection reports were supplied covering dimensions, tolerances, surface finish and material verification.
