The uEye XC autofocus camera ensures perfectly sharp images and videos, even when the distance between the camera and the object is constantly changing. It was specifically designed to fill the gap between industrial cameras and webcams. Unlike consumer webcams, its components - such as the high-resolution 13 MP onsemi sensor and the integrated ISP chip - are available for a long time and fully suitable for industrial use. The sensor delivers 20 fps at full resolution and, thanks to BSI technology ("Back Side Illumination"), can easily cope with changing light conditions. Useful features such as digital zoom, auto white balance and colour correction ensure that every detail is perfectly captured.

It really could not be easier to employ the compact autofocus camera. Users can choose between models with UVC and USB3 Vision protocol. This gives them either a typical webcam, or they have the option of programming the camera specifically for their application with the powerful software development kit IDS peak.

The uEye XC is used, for example, in kiosk systems, logistics, the medical sector and robotics applications. With the quickly exchangeable macro lens, you can easily shorten the minimum object distance of the camera. This makes it also suitable for close-up applications, for example in medical technology.
