BSP adapters conform to ISO 8434-6 and BS 5200. For the BSPP connection, the seal is achieved by the contact of conical surfaces at a 60° angle, with or without an o-ring. The BSPT connection creates the seal on the thread at a 55° angle, by adding sealing materials. The reference standards are ISO 7/1 – BS 21 and DIN 3852-2 (standard). The sealing systems ensure good performance at medium-low pressures. They are predominantly used in the industrial sector.
