The hydraulically operated indexing chuck type ZS was specially developed for the machining of larger couplings and is characterised by robustness, accuracy and reliability. The indexing chuck type ZS is used in a horizontal position on the lathe. Pipe sockets are produced – by means of exchangeable clamping jaws with carbide inserts in a indexing body that can be swivelled through 180° and has integrated Pressurized oil cylinders clamped. The indexing body is mounted and indexed in the outer chuck body. The pipe sleeves are clamped with six jaws, with three jaws clamping centrally and three jaws compensating the clamping movement.
