Standard RB METALLIC RIBBONS are made by knitting one or several wires of an identical or different types. The wires used are monel, tin-plated copper, tin-plated copper-clad steel. Other metals are used for specific shielding : aluminium, stainless steel, pure copper, inconel… For certain applications, there may be up to 6 wires, depending on the gauge of the mesh. Attenuation : The use of round RB enables attenuations of 40 to 80 dB in electric fields depending on the amount of overlap, earthing and the kind of the mesh. Environment : Resistance to corrosion depends on the metal mesh used. RB may be used in very high temperature environments in the presence of various solvents, oils and gases. Mechanical properties : RB ribbon has a flexible and pliable texture which enables it to be moulded around the most complex shapes
