Overview
  • JCB 457S wheel loader delivering 282 hp (selectable standard mode 224 hp) with a weight just over 20 t and a power-to-weight ratio of 14 hp/t.
  • Selectable power modes: Standard (224 hp) for improved fuel efficiency or Dynamic (282 hp) for increased productivity.


Transmission & axles
  • 6-speed powershift transmission with lock-up for improved acceleration, hill-climbing performance and faster cycle times.
  • Two axle options: limited-slip differential or automatic diff-lock.


Loader arms & attachments
  • Non-parallel lift links allow the implement to roll back when the loader arms are raised, improving load retention.
  • Loader arm with unloaded spool valves enables gravity lowering for improved productivity and reduced fuel consumption.
  • Available with Standard (4.3 m pin height) or High Lift (4.8 m pin height) arms.
  • Optional tow hitch with integrated camera provides up to 20,000 kg towing capacity; available with twin-line hydraulic trailer brakes.
  • Up to two auxiliary hydraulic services can be specified to operate a wide range of attachments.


Cooling, fuel & telematics
  • Large single-faced widecore cooling pack with automatic reversing fan removes build-up of chaff to maintain optimum operating temperature.
  • Optional auxiliary fuel tank increases capacity to 400 litres for extended uptime.
  • LiveLink telematics monitors machine health, operation and service requirements with real-time alerts.


Lighting
  • 360° front and rear LED work light package for enhanced visibility during night operations.
