Preventive Laser Inspection For Extruder BarrelsPROMAC-S is intended for preventive inner-bore inspections during routine maintenance of extruder barrels. The system performs a full circumferential scan without complex disassembly; the barrel must be clean, smooth and below 50°C before inspection.
Measurement Process and PerformanceDuring operation PROMAC-S travels automatically inside the bore at adjustable speed, capturing 360° radial data and axial profiles. Typical performance: ±0.01 mm accuracy, 3–5 mm axial resolution and the ability to complete a full measurement cycle within 30 minutes. Dedicated software generates automated reports for wear assessment and maintenance decision-making.
