In addition to horizontal lifting and tipping, the MDL series of lifting and tipping devices extend their application range by another vertical conveying axis.
Batch transportation can thus be carried out vertically and then horizontally, or horizontally first, and then vertically. At the end point, either the tilting movement can be initiated by up to 180°, or the batch remains in position and is docked, emptied out, etc. Like the entire MD series, the MDL series is designed as a two-column unit and offers load capacities of up to 1,000kg. The chains are deflected by 90° during the transition from horizontal to vertical travel and the guide rollers are threaded accordingly. Conveying lengths of up to 12m are possible with these devices, which can be divided amongst the two conveying directions.
These horizontal-vertical conveyors are particularly suitable when the loading or unloading location is not immediately in front of or after the device. Furthermore, it is possible to approach or drop off at several points.
Like the entire MD family, the MDL devices are based on a two-column design with two load bearing chains, which pull the load handling device along guide rails. Special curves in the tracks allow the load handling device to be tipped and thus emptied at the end point.
This device in particular is suitable for batch transportation to several dispensing points. First, the batch is lifted via the machine or system and then moved vertically to several points where the batch can be discharged.
