Increased flexibility without PLC Used together with a Controller, the JVL Input-Output Module extends the number of inputs from 10 to 26 and the number of outputs from 3 to 11. Each I/O Module has 16 inputs and 8 outputs. Up to 31 I/O Modules can be connected to a single Controller, thus providing a total of 496 inputs and 242 outputs. The I/O Module is available both with and without a 12-bit analogue output for control of frequency converters, DC motors, thermo-switches, etc. All inputs are protected against incorrect polarity connection. Multi-Counter Module is equipped with an incremental/decremental counter and has 8 inputs and 4 outputs. The Module is used together with encoders for determination of both position and speed. In both of these Modules, all inputs are protected against incorrect polarity connection and the outputs are short-circuit protected. A thermo-switch provides overload protection.
