Wedge flowmeter The wedge flowmeter is designed for difficult applications where other flow technologies fail or have a very limited-service life. It can cope with high viscosities, abrasive solids-containing fluids or liquids with a tendency to scaling or agglomeration. KROHNE offers the complete wedge flowmeter with the wedge element, DP transmitter(s) including diaphragm-seals, accessories, engineering, testing and documentation from a single source. The pressure tapping is typically designed as flange connection for use with diaphragm seals and can be executed redundantly if required. The sophisticated OPTIBAR DP 7060 and OPTIBAR DP 3050 DP transmitters are the perfect companion for this DP flowmeter solution. They are 3D linearised and ensure advanced performance even at high static pressures.
