The OPTIWAVE 1560 is a 2-wire 80 GHz radar (FMCW) level transmitter for liquid and solid applications with low pressure and temperature ranges of up to 5 bar / 72.5 psi and a maximum measuring distance of 30 m / 98.4 ft. It is the best-in class radar when cost-effective level measurement with high accuracy is required. The high dynamic range of its measurement signal allows the instrument to accurately measure extremely agitated product surfaces and under other difficult conditions. The OPTIWAVE 1560 is made entirely in PVDF, making it resistant to many chemical products and allowing for reliable level measurement of many media. The level radar comes IP68 rated, providing additional safety in very dusty areas or outdoor environments exposed to heavy rain or flooding. The 3" threaded connection of the radar is unique in its device class and offers flexible installation options. The level transmitter features a great deal of flexibility in terms of commissioning and adapting to different applications. The OPTICHECK Level Mobile app makes set-up of the radar level transmitter straightforward and convenient. The Bluetooth® connection enables device setup via mobile phone from a safe distance, eliminating the need for service engineers to stay on roof tops of silos or tanks or to manually operate the device for configuration or adaptation. The level radar utilises the device diagnostics of the OPTICHECK technology built-in. This enables continuous self-checking of the device status. In addition, on-site verification and monitoring of configuration and measured values can be carried out via Bluetooth in combination with the OPTICHECK Level Mobile app.
